Why "For One Another"

Maine became our home — the place where we built our family and where Wayward Chickadee was born.

Over the years, we’ve experienced so much kindness, openness, and generosity here. Our own family journey has also shown us just how much the support and understanding of others can make a difference.

For One Another grew out of that gratitude — and from a desire, in our own small way, to give back some of what this community has given us by supporting an organization that helps people and families across Maine.

About Maine Needs

Maine Needs is a community-powered nonprofit helping individuals and families across the state access essential items and practical support. Working alongside social-service partners, volunteers, and local communities, they help connect what is needed with what people are able to give — from clothing and hygiene products to household essentials and other everyday necessities. Their approach is rooted in dignity, inclusion, and solidarity: meeting people where they are, respecting individual needs, and building a community where support is shared rather than simply given.
