It all starts with our move to Maine, a beautiful place nestled between the mountains and the ocean, near forests and lakes. Surrounded by this wondrous nature motivated us to create our own totally natural products that respect the nature we live in and provides an alternative to mass-produced, chemically-filled products with the best that nature has to offer. Some friends and family tried our stuff and loved it – and that’s how our small business was born!

    Welcome! 

    Let us introduce ourselves very quickly. Here is our family : Sébastien, Jim, and our daughter, Abigaël. We are the owners and founders of Wayward Chickadee, a small business based in Maine that offers plant-based skincare and natural soy candles.

    I am Swiss (from Geneva), and my husband is from Massachusetts. We lived in Switzerland, where Jim worked for a UN organization and I was the director of a skincare line at one of the most reputed private clinics in Geneva. We decided to leave everything to move to this gorgeous state of Maine. Surrounded by nature, I decided to create a new skincare line in 2018, focused on plant-based ingredients and always plastic-free, called Wayward Chickadee.
