Correct tick removal

May 29th, 2019

We love essential oils but there are some do's and don'ts! A video is currently buzzing around the web showing a person who puts a drop of peppermint essential oil on a tick and we see the tick back its way out. Looks cool right?  DON'T DO IT!  This will increase your risk of Lyme's disease.

Why? The tick may back out but it can also regurgitate saliva that contains all kinds of diseases including Lyme's.

If a tick is embedded in your skin, don't try to burn, smother, crush, or drown it. This will increase the risk.

The best way to remove a tick is with tick tweezers (or regular tweezers) and nothing else! Take a look at this link for more info: ⬇️
